The Throttle and Drive by Wire adjustments also contribute to the above performance a lot, but I also want to touch on a few other noticeable areas. As I did several runs by myself, then took the wife and did the same runs again, I had the same results. What was surprising was it performed the same under a 'more load' condition. With Weller also increasing the Rev Limit and the Speed Limit removed along with their tuned 847cc, I did several high speed runs from a stopped position.Įven with the stock exhaust, this motor feels more powerful and responsive. Plus with Cooling fan activation lowered by 10 Degrees. This tells me that they really hit the spot while also staying within safe operating parameters. This performance is noticeable throughout the entire RPM range and I don't notice any symptoms or indications of LOP (lean of peak) or ROP (rich of Peak). The fuel/timing improvements really bring this motor to life with what us motor heads call Peak performance. I feel the Weller Racing tune has really hit the sweet spot on this 847cc parallel twin. I wanted to keep the stock exhaust for the quietness, so I didn't think I would see the significant gains as others with aftermarket, hence I regressed from purchasing the flash upgrade.Īfter some testing and thought, I wanting to keep my review simple and to the point. I've read reviews of members with the ECU flash with the aftermarket exhaust, but I don't recall any with the stock exhaust. ![]()
